[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Kratom For Studying And Productivity” font_container=”tag:h1|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]The leaves of the kratom tree have been used since at least the late 1800s as a way for laborers to stay productive throughout long days in the humid and treacherous climates of Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and other similar regions. According to the accounts of such kratom consumers, dried leaves of this awesome plant were traditionally chewed, brewed into teas, and even smoked, which we now know is not advisable due to the harsh chemicals often produced during the combustion process.
Laborers are not the only people who can truly gain by implementing kratom into their routine. In fact, students and employees that are expected to spend long hours in front of computers are also known to make use of kratom to boost their energy, focus and concentration levels. While users of traditional “study drugs” tend to withdraw socially, eventually hindering their productivity, kratom users have exhibited quite the opposite. A study in Malaysia found that even heavy kratom users functioned at a high level socially, were often married and employed, and rarely presented with health problems (Veltri & Grundmann, 2019).
In the US, government entities and the false reports they create have portrayed kratom as a detriment to cognition, but real science describes the opposite. In fact, kratom has recently been shown to exhibit antipsychotic properties (Vijeepallam, Pandy, Kunasegaran, Murugan, & Naidu, 2016), opening the door to a slew of new potential uses for the leaf.
Nevertheless, it is less about using kratom and more about using the correct strain of the plant, as well as the dosage that you opt for. Users are cautioned not to go overboard, as this may result in heavy nausea, which of course destroys productivity on its own. Many users agree to always start low, then add more an hour or so later if needed. Could kratom help you become more of a “go getter?” If you are interested to find out, read on.
What You Need to Know about Maeng Da Kratom
Maeng da Kratom comes in three main varieties: white Maeng Da, green Maeng Da and red Maeng Da. Although these three varieties might sound similar, they are slightly different from the other. Reds are thought to result in sedation and analgesia when ingested, whites are most used for increased energy levels and their potential to generate euphoria, and greens are considered to be a mid-point between the two.
What sets Maeng Da kratom apart from the rest of the strains is the fact that it contains a greater magnitude of flavonoids and alkaloids when compared to other kratom strains. After all, Maeng Da was created by humans looking to combine the best traits of all available kratom strains into one phenotype Now, this strains is universally known as the strongest, with only a handful of exceptions. We will talk more about that story in another post.
White Maeng Da
Being one of the most demanded kratom strains within the community, this variant is the second best-seller at Socratic Solutions. According to their customer feedback and reviews, it is most popular due to the exceptional motivational properties it exhibits, which include increased energy levels, euphoric sensations, stimulation and increased focus and memory. There is no “standard” dosage recommendation, but two or three grams to start seems to be the consensus around the kratom community.
Red Maeng Da
Known best for its analgesic and sedative properties, red Maeng Da is usually reserved for occasions requiring rest, relaxation, and pain relief. Although all variants of maeng da Kratom result in increased focus, the red ones are best avoided when focus, motivation, and physical exertion are of prime importance. An average dose of high-quality red Maeng Da is said to last three to four hours, making it a viable option for those who have a difficult time falling asleep but not necessarily staying there.
Green Maeng Da
This one is possibly the best of the bunch due to the simple fact that the Green Maeng Da consists of the properties that are present in both white and red variants. This makes it quite powerful in nature, and highly effective for whether you want to be productive or just to relax. As with all kratom strains, lowe dosages are often associated with stimulation and higher doses with “laying low.”
What Is the Correct Way to Consume Kratom?
It is not surprising at all to find that kratom plants are used widely among students, who generally have hectic schedules and often work different jobs. The combination of often semi or non-skilled work, long hours on the job, attending classes, studying, and social life usually leaves this group mentally and physically exhausted. Naturally, there are plenty of aches and pains that go along with this. For this reason, kratom consumption has begun to rise among college students in the US. However, it is of utmost importance that the correct dosage is taken.
Creating tea from kratom leaves is still a popular option for those who don’t mind, or even enjoy, the accompanying taste. Fruit juices can be used to help mitigate this aspect. If you’re like me, you may prefer a more portable option. While some “toss and wash,” or place dry kratom powder in the mouth followed by a chaser of their choice, the taste issue remains. I prefer kratom capsules because I just can’t get over the taste of the raw crumbles, even when mixed.
No matter what route of administration you choose, remember that less is sometimes more. Stay hydrated, and follow a sensible diet in order to balance everything out. Remember, kratom can curb appetite, but you want to make sure you are getting all of the macro and micronutrients your body needs to keep you on top of your game!
